1. Driving Test Bookings

• All pupils must consult their instructor before booking a driving test.

• MA Driving School reserves the right to refuse the use of an instructor’s car for the driving test if the pupil is not considered ready.

• Pupils who book a test without agreement from their instructor do so at their own risk, and the instructor is under no obligation to provide the car for that test.

• Pupils cannot request or choose specific vehicles for short-notice test bookings. Due to instructor scheduling and vehicle availability, the priority is allocating an available instructor and suitable vehicle for the test.

2. Readiness for Test

• Your instructor will advise you when you are ready to take your driving test.

• If you choose to book a test before your instructor considers you ready, MA Driving School accepts no responsibility if you are unable to proceed with the test or if the instructor refuses the use of the vehicle.

3. Lesson & Test Payments

• All lessons and test bookings must be paid in advance.

• Deposits taken for short-notice driving test bookings are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellations, changes of mind, disagreements, or inability to proceed with the test.

• The deposit secures the instructor and vehicle for the allocated test slot.

• If a test cannot proceed because a pupil is not test-ready or fails to follow instructor advice, no refund will be issued.

4. Lesson Cancellation Policy

• Pupils must give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson.

• Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) will be charged at the full lesson rate.

• No-shows (failure to attend a booked lesson) will also be charged in full.

• If an instructor cancels a lesson due to illness, vehicle issues, or DVSA commitments, the lesson will be rescheduled or payment is taken refunds will be made.

• Learning to drive requires commitment. Three or more consecutive cancellations may result in loss of your regular lesson slot. We will aim to discuss this with you first.

5. Test Day Car Hire Policy

• Use of the instructor’s vehicle for the driving test includes time before the test for warm-up practice and travel to the test centre.

• Test day bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure the instructor and vehicle for the allocated test slot.

• If a pupil cancels at short notice, fails to attend, or is not test-ready on the day, the instructor reserves the right not to proceed with the test and no refund will be issued.

• Test day slots are reserved exclusively for the pupil and cannot be reallocated once booked.

6. Instructor’s Discretion

• The instructor’s decision is final regarding readiness for the driving test and the use of the school car.

• MA Driving School will not tolerate abusive, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour towards instructors.

• Any such behaviour may result in immediate termination of lessons or services without refund.

7. Conduct & Social Media Policy

• MA Driving School expects all pupils to communicate respectfully with instructors and staff.

• Harassment, threats, abusive messages, or inappropriate behaviour may result in termination of services.

• False, misleading, or defamatory statements made publicly (including on social media platforms) regarding MA Driving School, its instructors, or services may be formally challenged and reported to the relevant platform.

8. General Terms

• Pupils must bring a valid provisional driving licence to every lesson and test.

• Pupils are responsible for ensuring their driving test booking details are correct and match instructor and vehicle availability.

• MA Driving School cannot be held responsible for any financial loss if a test cannot go ahead due to pupil actions, lack of readiness, incorrect bookings, or non-compliance with these terms.
